ABOUT COLLEGE Dr. R. G. Bhoyar Arts, Commerce & Science College, Seloo, (formally Vidyabharti College) Dist. Wardha is governed by Vidyabharti Sanstha, Wardha situated in mid of Vidarbha region 16 km away from Wardha and 65 km from Nagpur in Maharashtra on State Highway and affiliated to RTM Nagpur University, Nagpur. The Institute has established in 2008 by Dr. R. G. Bhoyar, President of Vidyabharti Sanstha, Wardha and has completed 15 years of its existence. It is one of the multi-faculty institutes in rural area provides the higher education for social and economical underprivileged classes in the Vidarbha region. Seloo is well connected by road; maximum students in the college are come from rural areas in Wardha district. The college being accredited with 'B+' by NAAC on 28th March 2017 in the First cycle. There are three undergraduate programmes, seven post graduate programmes, and one doctoral research programme for students interested in the arts, sciences, commerce, and management. For students, the institution has introduced M. Com in 2018, M. Sc. Zoology and Botany in 2019, M. Sc. Physics in 2020, and M. Sc. Chemistry, Microbiology, and MBA in 2022. The institution at present has 24 permanent and 31 Full time teaching staff with 23 non-teaching staff. The college has 01 Ph. D research center recognized by the affiliated University in the subjects of Commerce. Presently, there are 07 faculty members who are Research Guides with 13 registered Ph. D. scholars in the center. The institutional premise is spread over the land of 6 Acres. The total built-up area of the institution is 5143.64 sq. mt. The total area of the Central Library is 191.69 sq. mt. It is well equipped with facilities like a computer with broadband net connectivity and reprography. There is a provision for bar-coding of books, an Online Public Access Catalogue, access to e-journals and online database and N-LIST INFLIBNET (6000 e-journals and e-books) facility. The Central Library has 5507 textbooks, 376 reference books, 24 journals and 20 CDs with some more than 40 books in brail for visual disabled students.` The institute has also Sport Department to organize various sport events with indoor and outdoor games. The institute focuses on overall development of students through NSS, extension activities as the project of organic waste management, vermicomposting, rain-water harvesting, MoUs, short term courses.
